Language learning made easy.

How to learn Hindi onlineYou may think that the only kind of language instruction that “counts” occurs on a college campus. But that’s just not true! Your local college may or may not offer college courses in Hindi, but programs on CD, DVD, or the web do. And studying at home offers you unparalleled convenience – no traffic snarls, parking crunches, or schedule juggling! You can study at your own pace, at a time that works for you.

But where do you find the perfect software to learn Hindi? Online, of course! There’s just one teensy little problem. If you type “learn Hindi online” into your favorite search engine, you’ll get way too many results – but very few that would be comprehensive enough for your needs, or even worth the time and effort you’d put into using them.

But never fear! We’ve created a list of useful Hindi phrases that you can learn right here on our site for free. Each phrase has its own audio clip recorded by a native Hindi speaker. If you are new to learning Hindi online then these free audio lessons are a great place to start learning Hindi on your own.

I’ve also reviewed a couple of different Hindi software programs, and ranked them according to our unique criteria as explained below.

Here are the criteria I used:

Usefulness – whether the vocabulary being taught would actually help you in a Hindi-speaking situation.
Clarity – whether the average student would understand the concepts being taught
Value – whether you’d be getting your money’s worth with this product

My personal favorite is Rocket Hindi, but I’ll explain the features of each program so you’ll be able to make up your own mind. Remember that you can also access all our free Hindi lessons on the right navigation bar.
