What if your dream vacation hits a bump in
the road?
Whenever you travel to your French-speaking destination, your trip is likely to go perfectly smoothly. But what
if it doesn't? What if you become sick or injured, or run afoul of the law? At that point, you need assistance! In
this section, Help and Problems, you'll learn phrases to convey to authorities that you don't speak French
perfectly, you don't really understand what's happening, and you need someone who speaks English a lot better than
you speak French. These are extremely important phrases to learn, so you'll want to make sure you've mastered them
thoroughly. Press the blue audio button next to each phrase to hear it pronounced, repeat the phrase aloud, and
then press the button again. Keep doing this until you're sure you've memorized the phrase and its meaning, and can
say it clearly enough to be understood.
Chances are you won't need any of these phrases on your vacation – but it's better to be safe than sorry!
